Chitta Nanda: Actor, Social Worker, Film Maker, Farmer (A Versatile Personality)

Chitta Ranjan Nanda, an actor, filmmaker, social activist and a farmer too. At an early age he had an interest in acting. From his school-age, he had some contribution to the stage program or plays. When he was studying in KIIT, he got his first break ever in the Odia serial 'Baji' in 1998. Shatrughna Samal was the producer of Baji. In his academic session, he had created 'Abhinaya Cultural Group' that dealt with International Multi-Language Drama Completion. This group had worked in Cuttack Kala Bikas Kendra for two years and got the awards too. After that, the group had broken due to some reason. 

In 2002, he came back to the track with a character of a tribal man in 'Tathapi Andhara Sareni' which was telecasted on Doordarshan. 

Natural calamity and Odisha are very close to each other. At the time of super cyclone, Chitta had come to his hometown Nimapada. His father had created a social service organization in 1979. The period after cyclone Chitta had saw another side of him. From distributing relief to cremation he had done all these things without any hesitation. With the help of some volunteers, he also Marshaled it's surrounding areas. That time the economy was very weak for these affected areas. Chita helped the SHG's women and sell their products in various exhibitions not only inside the state but in India also. Excepting 3/4 states these camps helps him to travel across the country. 

Once he was out of home because of the exhibition camp his parent attends a call from E-TV odia for its odia serial Maushi. Before that he doesn't know about this channel. This Serial had made him to experienced Ramji Film City, Hyderabad. Nrusinhga Parija was the person who made if possible. Then his car of acting ran well. Chitta had done so many notable works after that. With acting, he also dedicated towards direction, filmmaking, street plays, writing etc. 

As a social worker, his contribution towards the society is so inspirable. When he goes deeper into the social responsibilities he realized that he had nothing done on his life. He took birth for some other cause. Chitta has understand the politics in a democracy. He vested his importance on 'Palli Sabha' that indicates to the meaning of Gram Swaraj of Gandhi. For him if we arrange a marriage, we discussed about it among us for numerous times go make it successful. So how can we run a village by arranging a meeting for 3-4 hours, in which maximum residents were absent. We belong to the different sectors with variety of difficulties. My problem might not same of yours and vice versa. So if we didn't participate, we couldn't stick to our problems and couldn't find out it's solution. To make a disciplinary democratic country the governance system should be divided practically. The power should be in the hand of grass level villagers. Chita said that, we cant protest for Swedesi through the means of foreign countries. His steps are always taken for the betterment of the society. He also delivered social messages like family planning, sexual harassment, dowry etc. 

In his life, Chitta had closely saw how the tribal people got suffered. Their life is full of sorrow, poverty, unemployment, worst education, migration, human trafficking, rape murder and so on. I his opinion he again add that if our people could understand the concept, schemes, facilities that has been created by the government for them, they wouldn't be migrated to other states. Chita also says that of any obsessed or Dalit girl who had suffered the loathsome works like rape, should be got the power not compensation. Then she will take the right action for others. 

Chita Ranjan Nanda left his acting career in 2010. His afterlife is dedicated to the society. This man is not only a rill life but a real-life hero also. His life is full of incidents and he is an inspiration for others.
