Odia Filmmaker Won Multiple Awards For His Directed Short Film 'Hold My Hand'


In this lockdown period, an Odia filmmaker Mr.Suraj Pattanayak has created a short film 'Hold my hand: a message to my papa'. Which has won three awards back to back only in one month. An international COVID-19 film festival was organized by OriFarming.com. The award distribution program was done on an online platform. Mr. Suraj Pattanayak won the Tamra Ashoka (Bronze) prize, the third-best film award at the award ceremony. Total of 25 films have participated in the race and Suraj's film got the position in the best of three. Likewise, there is another award for him given by Bengal Lockdown online film festival. He was awarded for the category of best social message. In his list of achievements, an award from Aaina Lockdown film festival has also included as the third best film.

Hold my hand: a message to my papa is a short film made up without violating the rules and regulations of lockdown. It's a film for 2 minutes. The message behind the film was against the sad backdrop of the coronavirus, parents are discovering or rediscovering the pleasure of spending time with their children. Lockdown positivity is the motto of the story. This young man delivered thanks to his cast, actor Sheikh Gulzar Husain and Sumaya Hussain for his achievements. He gave a special thanks to his family and team members for always supporting him.
