The Best Disciple Of Lord Jagannath Bhikari Mohammad Has Gone To The Eternal World

The pride and glory of Odisha Bhikari Mohammad. He was considered as the second Salbeg. He was a musician of the era, known as the symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity born in Khantapada in Nayagarh district. Mohammad left this worldly land at 11.45 am. He was 71 years old at the time of his death.  Someday he was seriously ill with geriatric diseases and was being treated at SCB Medical College, Cuttack. The veteran artist, who became famous for singing Jagannath songs and Bhajans, lost his life in a battle yesterday.

According to family members, he recovered from his first paralysis a few months later, but had a blood clot in his brain.  And last Wednesday, the veteran artist was being treated first at Khandapada Group Health Center and later at Cuttack Big Medical due to sudden illness.

Bhikari's childhood life is quite interesting.  Although the two sisters were born into the Muslim community, her mother, according to Oriya tradition, performed the Dwitiya Osha and asked Jagannath for a son.  As the lord of the world fulfilled his desires, he was first named Muhammad because of his beggars and Muslims. From a young age, Jagannath sang and sang hymns due to his love and attraction to Kalia Thakur (Lord Jagannath). He delivered that worshipping a Hindu Deity as belonging from a Muslim family is a deep message to those who create conflicts on the basis of communalism.
