Founder Deepender opens his mouth over Zomato delivery boy beating woman case

Zomato founder Deepender Goel has issued an official statement following the recent announcement that a woman had been attacked by a Zomato delivery boy.

A woman from Bengaluru named Hitosha Chandrani has accused Jomato's delivery boy of attacking her and posted a video of her bloodied face on social media, demanding action against the delivery boy.

Dipender issued a statement saying he wanted to say something about the recent incident in Bangalore.  He wrote a lengthy statement on his account.

He has temporarily sacked the delivery boy, with medical expenses incurred by the victim.  "The police are investigating the incident and the company will bear all the costs of the delivery boy's family and the case until the truth comes out," he wrote.

He also posted on Kamraj's work skills, experience, etc. and mentioned how many good ratings he has already given in his favor.  "It's true, it's not my own opinion," he wrote at the end.

According to her, she had asked the delivery person to wait till she spoke with the customer care executive and come to a consensus about how she should be compensated for the delayed order.

Kamraj's opinion is like, "I apologized as the delivery was delayed due to traffic and bad roads but she was very rude. When she threw slippers at me and started hitting me, for my safety, I tried to use my hand to shield her blows. When she was trying to push my hand away, she accidentally hit herself with her finger ring on the nose, which led to the bleeding".
