Destiny Made A Teacher Into A Beggar

Prafulla Mishra, a retired school teacher age around 80. Without pension, family and the poor system has broken the backbone of this old man. Now a teacher is begging on roads. This is a very shameful thing for everyone.

From 20 years ago he has retired from his profession. But still now he has not got any pension. He lost his young son at a very early age. After his death Mr. Mishra's daughter-in-law and grandchildren had shifted to her maternal house. Mishra's house leaves him too for his poverty. Now he is totally alone. No one is there to talk, to feed to him.

According to the report he was taught at UGME school of Balakati of Khordha district. Without pension he is hopeless and helpless. As a result he is begging to have something to live. According to him he lives in Gurujung housing board colony. After getting retired from teaching he didn't get the pension. Having food for one time is a very big thing for him.

He also cognizanted to the Education Minister Shri Arun Kumar Sahoo regarding this. But that doesn't brought any good news for him. Even he met the district collector. That also didn't get any hope. Collector said Mr. Mishra can't meet him due to pandemic corona and didn't assure him about the old man's problem.

In the absence of any help and hope he has chosen the way to beg. Near the office of khordha superintendent of police and collector's office, on NH 16 Mr.Prafulla Mishra standing there as a beggar.

On this topic education officer Bandana Mohapatra commented that, she will discuss about the retired teacher Mr.Prafulla Mishra's pension issue to the Balipatna Block Community Education officer.
