How Profitable OTT Releases Are For These Films !!

The world has been captured by the pandemic corona. From schools to offices everything have shut down. Film industries have facing the problems too. There are so many films that have been done it's shooting but due to this corona couldn't released on theaters. The producers have agreed to that films will not wait the theaters to be opened. So they will released these films on OTT platforms.

 Over the top or OTT platforms deliver media services explicitly to viewers by the Internet. Through this platform, we can easily access to television contents and film by using cables. We also can access this directly via our mobile phone or computer etc.

Indians mostly awaited for Bollywood movies, and there are so many films that have been waiting for release. But due to COVID-19 theaters have shut down. If the films will not come to the big screen, it brings a big loss. The revenue will be weaker. That's why they have decided to go with the OTT platforms like Netflix, Disney+Hot star, Zee5, Amazon prime video, sony live etc. 

Laxmi Bomb is the remake of the Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana. Akshay Kumar is playing the main character. With him Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar etc. are in the film. It was directed by Raghava Lawrence. The budget of the film was 50-60 crore and has been sold out at 125 crore to Disney+Hot star.

Bhuj: the pride of India is a film directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. Ajay Devgan, Sonakshi Sinha,Sanjay Dutt,  Nora Fatehi are playing the lead roles. The budget of the film is around 70-90 crore and distributed by Disney+Hot star at 110 crore. 

Another Hindi movie Gulabo Sitabo got released on Amazon prime video. This film has been sold out at 65 crore. Amitabh Bachchan, Ayushman Khurana are playing the main characters.

In this category, the Hindi film The Big Bull is included too. Ajay Devgan is the producer of this movie. It stars Abhishek Bachchan as in the lead role, Nikita Dutta and Ileana D'Cruz as in the supporting roles. This fill will be released on OTT platform of Disney+Hot star. The Big Bull has been sold out at 50 crore.

Dil Bechara is a romantic drama film directed by Mukesh Chhabra. Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan are in the lead characters. It will be released on 24th July on Disney+Hot star. The budget of the film is 20-30 crore and sold out at 40 crore. Dil Bechara is produced by Fox Star Studios.

Another upcoming film is Sadak-2, starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Puja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Makarand Deshpande. Fox star studios is the production company. 50-60 crore Rupees is the budget of the movie and it has been sold out at 70 crore to Disney+Hot star.

Khuda Haafiz is another film in the list. Faruk Kabir is the director of this movie. Vidyut Jammwal, Shivaleeka Oberoi, Annu Kapoor, Shiv Panditt, Aahana Kumara are playing the lead characters. It is distributed by Disney+Hot star. The budget of Khuda Haafiz is about 5-7 crore rupees and has been sold out at 10 crore.

Loot case is a comedy-drama film produced by Fox Star Studios. It features Kunal Khemu and Rasika Dugal in lead roles with Vijay Raaz and others. This 5-7 crore rupees of budget film has been sold out at 10 crore to Disney+Hot star.

Filmmakers have released big-budget movies during the festival seasons like Boli, Diwali, Dasheras, Eid etc. Big starred films with attractive songs and interesting story earns sound profits. As a result the revenue increases. But the pandemic spoiled everything. 

According go the report, the film industry has already loss 1,000 crore. If producers would ready to wait for the end of this pandemic, it will be pointless. So it us better to get something instead of nothing.
