The 34-year-old Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra residence on 14 June, 2020. Depression was the cause of committing suicide. His death had spread shock not only to his family but to the country and to the international too.
During his studies, he had cleared more than 11 engineering exams and also won the National Olympiad in Physics.
While Shushant was completing his graduation, he developed an interest in dancing after watching Shiamak Davar‘s dance show. Initially, his family was against his decision, but he refused to obey them and joined Shiamak Davar’s dance group.
When he came to Mumbai, he had 3 dreams: first, to work in a Yash Raj Film, second, to do a Pepsi ad commercial, and third, to be on the cover of a Filmfare Magazine; and he had achieved them all.
Sushant started his career from a TV serials. In 2013 his debut film came to the silver screen I.e. 'Kai po Che!'. His second movie was 'Shuddh Desi Romance'. Sushant's next role was in Rajkumar Hirani's 2014 film PK. In 2015, his character was a Bengali detective in 'Detective Byomkeshi Bakshy'.
In 2016, he appeared in Neeraj Pandey's biographical sports film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, in lead role of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film was a critical and commercial success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2016. Rajput's performance was widely praised by critics and earned him his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.In 2017, he appeared in Dinesh Vijan's Raabta, co-starring Kriti Sanon. In 2018, he appeared in Kedarnath, a love story set in the backdrop of the 2013 floods in Uttarakhand, co-starring Sara Ali Khan. In this film he played the role of Mansoor Khan, a Kashmiri young man.In 2019, he appeared in Abhishek Chaubey's Sonchiriya opposite Bhumi Pednekar.He appeared in Nitesh Tiwari's Chhichhore opposite Shraddha Kapoor that released on 6 September 2019.

It took Sushant around one and a half years to prepare himself for the role of ‘MS Dhoni’ for the film “M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story.” He practiced the helicopter shot around 225 times a day, for many days, to get the desired outcome.
Sushant Singh’s suicide started a new wave of discussion about nepotism in Bollywood, and many people from inside the film industry blamed certain groups in the industry responsible for Sushant’s death. From Abhinav Kashyap to Kangana Ranaut, many people lashed out their anger over the nepotism and other such things in Bollywood for compelling the outsiders in the industry to take the extreme step.
His last film, 'Dil Bechara' was premiered on Disney+Hotstar on 24 July 2020 in which he played the role of “Manny” alongside Sanjana Sanghi who played the role of “Kizie.” Dil Bechara is the remake of “The Fault in Our Stars,” an American romantic drama based on the 2012 novel of the same name by John Green. Now it's trailer is in trending on social media.
The famous dialogue given by Sushant is this film was 'Suicide is not the solution'. But in real life he couldn't find the appropriate solution. His fans will always miss him for his acting, dancing, his personality and many more. Bollywood lost a diamond. No one can replace him.
