According to the Supreme Court, education is already harmed. But if we don't do anything to save the future of education because of corona, it will lost the present generation's future and the condition of the nation. Corona will lasts for years. Three bench of Justices have dismissed the petition and cleared the road for JEE Main and NEET 2020.
Justice Arun Mishra, the head of three-judge bench of the Highest Court said that, "Life cannot be stopped. We have to move ahead with all safeguards and all.... Education should be opened up. COVID may continue for a year more. Are you going to wait another year? Do you know what is the loss to the country and peril to the students."
The JEE schedule is like from September 1 to 6 and NEET is for 13th September. 11 students from 11 states have filed the petition. They wanted the Authorities be asked to conduct the exams only after normalcy as before. The students also raised their voice for increasing the number of examination centers for NEET and JEE across the country. Alak Alok Srivastava, a lawyer has presented the view of the students to the SC.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has represented the National Testing Agency (NTA). He placed it's view I.e. all the examinations will be held as per the schedule with safeguards.
The SC has said that, "The careers of students cannot be put under the jeopardy". Now a question is emerging I.e. what matters more? When the students will come to attend the exams from various states of India, is not a chance to expand the covid cases? If career is more important then what about life? And if they attend exams how they will reach there? Here the transportation and lockdown policies also raised with this career issue.
