The Pandemic Has Increased The Number Of Prostitutes In India

Ludhiana ADCP Rupinder Kaur Shran, who led the operation on Saturday morning, said women who had lost their jobs during the lockdown period and had come from different states were victims of prostitution.

The women are from Nepal, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh and Amritsar (Punjab) and are under further investigation to investigate the entire area of ​​their work, Shran said.

Police said the women who lost their jobs during the abduction were prostitutes.

The suspects are being questioned to find out their source of supply, police said.

Fourteen people, including ten women, were arrested and Ludhiana police on Saturday demanded an interstate prostitution racket.  In it the needy girls were used as prostitutes.
